When The Wax Poetics formed in late 2007, the intent was clear...to make quality music that bridges the gap between the club and the street. Drawing inspiration from mainstream pop artists such as Justin Timberlake, Timbaland & The Black Eyed Peas, as well as underground hip-hoppers such as Pigeon John, Mos Def & The Dilated Peoples - The Wax Poetics set out to infuse their love for the rawness of the underground and inject it into the popular mainstream. With a sound that transcends the boundaries of typical club music, and with a passion for beats that get people up off their feet, The Wax Poetics lyrical display is a final added dimension that brings the elements together in an effort to move the listener from innocent bystander to active participant. We hope you enjoy what you hear. Now get up and start something!
