What's my script?? Hm.. Well first, lemme say, you're story was beautifully wonderful. I'm deeply honored and humanly humbled by your willingness to trust me with such a personal part of your history. I really am. That story could've only bin told better by being able to look into your eyes as you told it. Damn.... Okay well. I was born an only child although my dad had 3 including me. I have a half brother and half sister whom I not that close with. Growing up, I think they resented the fact that "their daddy" was living with me and buying me sht, etc. I grew up Cosby although I was more Fresh Prince than Cockroach or Theo. I played sports, dressed fresh, and prettry much did any and everything I tried pretty well. *least that's MY recollection of it! ;)* I was/and am a momma's boy by nature and by circumstance. My dad worked and macromanaged the household. He was the disciplanarian.. The provider.. The authority.. The backbone. Mom was the glue. The guts.. The insides.. She did all the micromanaging stuff that made sht go, ya know. She would be the "Team Mom" on the sports teams, and she would be the mom everyone kinda new around the neighborhood. Tragedy struck. Daddy passed when I was 14. Life turned itself upside-down. I struggled and rebelled in high school. Dis-covered girls. Disconnected with school. Met a pastor who became somewhat a father-figure for me. Sang in the church choir. Went to college. Dazed and confused. Got high. Got laid. Got played. Got out. Dropped out. Became disenfranchised with school and the US "educational" system. Read Malcolm, Carter G. Woodson.. Learned of the Panthers, 5%s, NOI, Buddhist and Hindus. Studied Psychology and Philosophy. Grew my hair long. Continued to rebel against what was status quo and ordinary. Fought against the standard, ordinary, and mundane. Fought against my mother's words.. her reasonings.. and her reasons for such reasoning.. Went vegetarian.. Confused friends and family. Discovered poetry, and later, the spoken-word to somewhat calm the savage beast that was was my inner creativity Savage beast became hungrier and hungrier. Started rapping, reciting, making songs, making clothes, making dope shit, so as not to sell dope & shit Stayed broke and shit. Broke and broken... Invested in a 1-way train token to L.A. Arrived only knowing, 1 dude so it was with him, I had 1 option to stay But I was determined. Tried turning over new leaves. He wasn't on his ish so we had to leave (the apartment that is) We fell out. Bought a car to see more L.A. and chase better work. It worked. ...for a while. Ups & Downs... Then my car got impounded (2 weeks ago) and it's bin hell ever since. Since.. I put every dollar and every cent into that btch She was also my living quarters since I didn't want to live on skid row. Bin looking for God every since
