Martha’s Vineyard Housing Advocate

About Me

I started writing about the housing issue back in 2001 after realizing we were headed for a crash with regard to housing residents and its effect on a viable year round economy. The seasonal blast, where the residents get the negative fallout created by the uncontrolled, untaxed, illegal abuse of our residential neighborhoods by the transient rental business known as the WEEKLY RENTAL, must be tempered by economic policies that separate commercial values from residential housing. So far my worst scenarios have proven themselves to be correct yet no one seems to realize that a change in policy, to obeying existing laws, is essential. Check out my pics to see ways you can help to spread the word of our dissatisfaction with the "Status Quo"

My Interests

I'd like to meet:

People, especially the current young generation, who realize that we need to change direction in order to provide legitimate market based housing opportunities for the future generations so we can have a sustainable year round economy on the Cape and Islands. Please read my blog and comment, if you feel the desire, and then pass it on to others because this problem will only be made worse if we don't change the direction of the current housing efforts.
