About Me
So much to describe...
I live in Lafayette, IN. right now, but I grew up in Carroll County. I'm a writer/artist/actor/filmmaker/whatever. 5'6", brown hair and blue eyes. - I am very close with my family and some of my friends. I am lucky to have some very dear friends.
I use to be a youth leader for my local YFC (Youth4Christ) and a Special Olympics Aid. I've helped with the Renaissance Academy + TAF (Tippecanoe Arts Federation) , on many local arts functions!
I hold a degree in Theology from Indiana Wesleyan (worthless), and started studying Business Management + Law at Wesleyan and Purdue (Krannert), but I kinda got stuck working at Target all the time...
I recently attended Ivy Tech to further my education (Dual - Liberal Arts Major) . On occasion, I am a TA & Guest Lecturer in Speech and Humanities at Ivy Tech, for "The Art of Improv". Speaking of Improv, I have taken a few classes at Improv-Olympic (i.O.) in Chicago.
I have also worked on various local television commercials and service announcements... You may have heard or seen some of my horrible commercials over the past few years? (GameXchange, Precision PuttPlus, NaturesPharm, Toys4Tots, etc.) I got paid crap, but it was LOADS of fun! I either did voice work, acting, wrote, or all the above! I am still close friends, with many of the people that made up our Actor's Workshop, and we all get together almost every Tuesday afternoon.
I've done extra acting work for a variety of Large Budget movies (Zack and Miri Make a Porno, The Road, Public Enemies, Jersey Girl, The Lake House, Transformers, Wanted, Spiderman 3, Chasing Amy, Batman Begins, Wanted, Hollywood and Wine, etc.), as well as many Independent films (The Guardian, Dork of the Rings, Chiller, Boy Next Door, Quantum Leap: A Leap to Di for, etc.). I was also an Assistant in Production on (The Lake House, A Man Transfixed, Boy Next Door).
I have been working on (for FOREVER) my own film, "Graphic Fantasy" (Based around the first published work of comic book great, Erik Larsen. 1st ever Savage Dragon). With some old friends and cameos by: Kevin Smith, Bruce Campbell, Sean Astin, and MANY others! What a great experience, long and arduous, but I’ve gotten to meet some remarkable people, do and see amazing things!I will be working on two other short films next (Shoki's Bag, and Superhero), and helping with my good friend Arliss Jeffries short films and feature film during the next few years.
As for my stage work, I've been in: Shakespeare in the park "short plays", Midsummer Night's Dream "Puck & The Wall", Hamlet "Horatio, Osric, a pirate, an actor, & a groundling", Love's Labour's Lost "Costard", Guys and Dolls "Sky Masterson", Phantom of the Opera "Raoul", Tales of the Forth Grade Nothing & Super Fudge "Fudge", Alice in Wonderland "White Rabbit", Davey Crockett "Mike Fink", Mark Twain's - Celebrated Jumping Frog of Calaveras County "Jim Smiley & voice of Simon Wheeler", Mark Twain's - Is He Dead? "Basil Thorpe & The King of France", Mark Twain's - Mysterious Stranger No.44 "No.44/Satan", Death of a Salesman "Stanley", Androcles and the Lion "The Keeper", Dial M for Murder "Detective Williams".
One thing I was probably MOST known for in high school, was my ART. I gave up Art for a while, but I still draw things from time to time... Now I seem to write a lot more often. Years ago, I wrote backup stories and did artwork for some comic book publications.
I love to write and create, I wrote a bit and helped to create a few characters for the Television show Mutant X (which was a fairly crappy show, and I got screwed on royalties big time); I helped to create the characters Adam Xero (Adam-X), Shalimar Fox (Shadow Fox), Albion Magnus, and Jenipher Pathos (Pathogen).
I have also written review columns for numerous magazine publications (in my spare time), in print and online, like: ScreenZine Webzine, Cinescape Magazine, HeroSpy, Comics2Film, newsarama, Ain't it Cool, etc.
---- I have been very blessed and lucky so far, I have learned so much, and I am extremely grateful!
