Cebu Rock Alliance

Cebu Rock Alliance is an organization that aims to revolutionize the local music scene of many diverging rock genres. The Alliance is a self-critical conscious group that wants to influence the future direction of the music scene for the benefit of Cebuano artists and music lovers.
Goals
- Create an intellectual atmosphere expressed through music, art, and poetry accessible to the youth.
- Eliminate the sense of isolation among musicians overwhelmed by the economics of present society, which has been unhelpful to their artistic growth. This organization aims to unify struggling artists.
- Make the Cebu music scene self-sustaining. It is a sad picture that some few unscrupulous promoters are profiting out of the local scene's instability. A few Manila-based musicians get overpaid while local artists that have proven their worth are left out in their own yard. We are not anti-Tagalog. We know there are Manila bands that are better than those in the mainstream. They,too, are being left out by the industry's cronyistic politics.
- Make the scene unmanageable by the dominant trends imposed by the greedy and passionless industry. We make our own trend that is more dynamic and worthy of international recognition.
- Provide the members the theoretical and historical background of art and music, constructive criticism, and inspiration to help them meet the long term goals.
