About Me
..Yenote' is glowing -- just one look at his expression and you know he's right where he wants to be, in the studio in Atlanta. He's putting the finishing touches on “Music Is My Lifeâ€, his debut CD, to be released in March 2008 and the vibe surrounding this album feels like he's channeling the motivation of his soul predecessors. When Sanders & Tillman Artists Management (www.myspace.com/sanderstillmanmanagement) entered Yenote's life, he was feeling hindered in his career -- stuck at a plateau. The opportunity they presented to him to be the greatest artist neo soul has ever heard was one that he could not refuse. The New York native began singing as a child in his church choir, and by age 17 he had joined his first community choir. Yenote' had a well-grounded childhood being the eighth child of thirteen he enjoyed the typical boy “things†such as sports and being a joker. His love and passion for music propelled him to continue singing and by the age of 23 he was singing and touring with the Grammy award and three (3) times Stella award winner, O’landa Draper and the Associates. Yenote' sang, recorded and traveled with him for several years and was featured as a lead vocalist on two (2) albums. Having been a part of O’landa Draper’s group it afforded him the opportunity to perform and background for gospel greats such as Shirley Ceasar, The Clark Sisters, John P. Kee, Yolanda Adams, Kirk Franklin, and Donald Lawrence and Tri-City. By age 25, he had worked with musical greats Billy Joel and Jennifer Holiday and opened for Jonathan Butler, Phil Perry, India.Arie and Floetry. Yenote's love of music and enthusiasm to be great continues to propel him into greater opportunities to headline for numerous conventions and festivals across this country. His musical talent is influenced by some of our supreme legends such as Donnie Hathaway, Ron Isley, Marvin Gaye, Stevie Wonder and Gerald Levert and even a few from today's era including Anthony Hamilton, Bilal, Musiq Soulchild, Kim Burrell and Kelly Price. Yenote' will provide us with an exuberant return to classic soul in the tradition of his heroes, Donny Hathaway, Marvin Gaye, Ron Isley, Stevie Wonder and Gerald Levert. He brings a whole new energy and responsiveness to his art form with his smooth sultry sounds. Yenote' is his name and “Music is his Life . . .â€
