About Me

There are an estimated 7.1 million Americans living abroad! Those of us who live oversees know what damage has been done over the past 7 years! Please register to vote and be part of the change! We know how close previous elections have been, absentee ballots can make the difference! WHY VOTE FROM ABROAD? Let us not forget that George W. Bush won Florida, the deciding state in the 2000 presidential election, by only 930 votes in the final count!! Al Gore won the popular vote, which means Al Gore had more American votes than George Bush - over 1/2 million more votes than Bush. Bush won the election because he had more electoral votes, Florida's 25 electoral votes, won by only 930 votes from the people, went to Bush - A president elected without the majority of Americans in agreement had not happened since 1888!! The electoral vote system is a system that is in place to make sure that everyone in America is represented equally. Some think it is arcane, but nevertheless, it is the system in place.A lot of people feel this election will also be very very CLOSE! Your vote could make the difference!! As estimated 50,000 Floridians live in Europe alone! It's soooo easy to vote as an expat. You don't have to send away for forms. Here is how to do it!Just click the "Start Wizard" button at the bottom on "Vote From Abroad" screen!www.votefromabroad.org www.democratsabroad.org
