About Me

Born and raised in California, Colin Verba has overcome many obstacles to reach his current state. Due to abuse Colin was raised as a foster child to face a life filled with many trials and uncertainties. Alone in the world he knew very little of his family and himself. As a ward of the court he has seen many places and faces, families and schools. Bouncing from Group home to group home, foster home to foster home he he had to try to adapt to the different families, terains, and schools. Once he was placed in a group home in San Francisco in an area known for its high murder rates. Colin began to hate his lifestyle and rebel against the rules of the state, consequently expelling himself from school. At around the age of sixteen he ran away and began a life that he thought would be much easier. With no money, job or place to live, he entered a world of struggle filled with drugs, alcohol, sex and violence. His new lifestyle was worst than the first. Colin began rapping at 16 years old in Bay-view Hunters Point, San Francisco. It started by writing poetry from the few things he knew about his mother. His mother wrote and so Colin wanted to also. He was fascinated with rhymes. And so when he arrived in a group home and neighborhood of rap culture, it grew on him and he started to put his rhymes to music. Colin began making music when he was homeless and cold. He found a music store in Chico California that allowed him to stay in the store for hours playing the keyboards. These where all one track recording keyboards. On one a beat would come alive. Another a bass line would hit. Another a piano would flow, strings would soar, and synths would purr. PRAISE THE LORD because a new man was born!!!!! Colin is now saved and born again and has been since June of 2004! He is now currently doing prison ministry with the “Unchained Life Ministries” on his off days and always making music. If you would like to know more about Unchained Life, please visit at www.unchainedlife.org When Colin turned 25 he went back to school at almost a decade absent and passed his GED. Not only did he take and pass his test for self accomplishment but so that he can tell those he ministers to, that all things are possible to those who believes. Colin is a single man and proud parent of his beautiful baby girl Deztiny. Although many miles away they both share a passion for music. Friends, there are many things that Colin has been through. There has been many defeats but sweeter victories. One my space page can not cover his life’s testimony. Please get to know him by listening to his music, writing, and asking him questions. He will be delighted to reply. You can also E-mail Colin at [email protected]

Influences: Friend, if you have not made Jesus Christ the Lord of your life and want him to be your savior, you can invite him into your heart right now. Yes right now. It all begins with one simple prayer. the bible says, "That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved." (Romans 10:9) Or maybe you say, "Colin I'm already saved but I havent been living a life God wants me to live. Can I be included in this prayer?" Most definantly. You know sometimes we mess up and sometime we slip away and try to do our own thing. But thank God for the blood of Jesus. God loves you no matter what you do. Lets pray, Heavenly father, I come to you today and ask you to be the Lord of my heart and savior. Father I ask for forgiveness of all the sins I ever commited. I truley repent. I believe that you died for me and rose on the third day. My hope is in you. Father I thank you for saving me and I thank you for forgiving me. Show me your love and confirm it by giving me supurnatural love for others. In Jesus name I pray. Amen. Praise God you did it. Now its up to you to keep running this race we called life. You have an awesome coach called the holy spirit. And remember, to repent from your sins is to turn away from them. So dont turn back. Jesus died on the cross once and for all. If you dont have a home church that you attend I would encourage you to find one and get plugged in. If you are local in lubbock tx, you dont have to look no farther. Family Harvest Church is the place to be. May God bless you with peace happiness and Joy. Amen.
