people dont play sports because its all fun, ask any athlete ;; most hate it,but they honestly couldnt imaging living without it. it becomes part of them. this love/hate relationship is what they live for. its the long practices;all week long, bus rides, partys, new shoes, gatorade and water, but mainly the coaches you hate but appreciate, are what keeps these athletes motivated. its that feeling when you beat the other team, last minute, now knowing those 2 extra sprints in practice was worth it. its the love of your teamates that became family. they just live for the competion, friends, practices, pain, games, && the countless memories. its who they are... athletes

What does it mean to be a Georgia Bulldog? It's knowing that Tech is and always will be the "little sister" and that any team that has the bad taste to put orange in their color scheme deserves to be hated. Most importantly, it's about devotion. We went 20 years between titles but nobody ever lost the faith because they knew that "this year is the year." Being a Bulldog means cutting class on Friday to get a head start on tailgating on Saturday. It's seeing the Frat boys and Sorority girls dressed in their church clothes for the game on Saturday, but wearing cheap, old tennis shoes along with it. It's the parting of the "Red Sea" during the Dawg Walk so the fans can get a glimpse of their heroes. It's listening to Larry bark out the play-by-play on the radio even thought you at the stadium. It's 92,746 people coming together as one and singing the Alma Mater in unison and looking over to the guy next to you and thinking "he may be a fascist anarchist who's going to vote for Kerry, but he's a Bulldog, so he got one thing right." It's staying in the stadium for 45 minutes after the game and listening to the red coats play the theme from "Gone With the Wind", then going down to Bourbon Street to celebrate a victory. And finally, it's knowing that you "American by birth and a Bulldog by the grace of God" GO DAWGS!!
