About Me

James is best known as the voice of the band, One Handed Molly. One Handed Molly released three albums, Truth, Perinthia, and their eponymous album, under their own label of Rolling Ball Productions. These were extremely well received by fans and critics alike, who would point most often to Jamess original voice and strong songwriting. The band played all over the United States, and was the darling of many a college radio station. When home in New York, they would play nights at most of the major clubs and every Sunday afternoon in Central Park, where they would sell out of their CDs (50 a dayits what fit in the bag) in just a couple of hours. They also sold out of all the CDs in stock at Tower Records in New York when they played an in-store.Sean has been playing the New York City circuit for years, at such venues as The Bitter End, The Living Room, The Cutting Room, Don Hills, and Kennys Castaways, and across the country, from Java Joes in San Diego, California to The Pourhouse in Raleigh, North Carolina, often sharing nights with amazing talent, such as Steve Poltz, Tyler Hilton, Beaver Nelson, Scrappy Jud Newcomb, Stephen Bruton, Billy Payne, and Joshua Radin. He has also been featured in a number of festivals and organized a number of very successful benefit concerts. His song, Eclipse, won Best Melody, Best Lyrics, Best Chill-Out Track, Best Potential Soundtrack Song on Garageband.com. A girl once told him that his song Butter (often referred to as Butterface) was the worst song she had ever heard in her entire life. This may be his proudest moment.James and Sean met nine years ago. Within days, they wrote and recorded their first song together. It was immediately selected for Robert Mulligans off-Broadway production of Den of Thieves. They remained close friends, but Jamess time commitment to One Handed Molly made it difficult to collaborate for years. When the band broke up, James moved to Seattle. Only recently have the two been able to write and play together again. Within days of reuniting musically, they recorded a demo of three brand new songs under the name the gravity, darling. Their debut was at the Bitter End in New York. It was like the two had never missed a beat over those eight years.
