Shiori Shinohara

愛知県出身、乙女座、O型。三歳よりクラシムƒã‚¯ãƒ”アノを始める。15歳より歌い初め、１８ 歳より東京のライブハウスでSoul, Funk, R&Bを中心に音楽活動を開始。吉祥寺Star Pines Cafe, 原宿Crocodile, 渋谷Eggman, 赤坂Bâ™­, 高円寺Jirokichi, 池袋Miles Cafe, 恵比寿Guiltyなどを中心にライブ活動を行う。 また、Gospel Choir "Anointed" に所属し、綾戸智絵のコンサートツアーで東 京国際フォーラム、大阪城ホール、また愛知 万博でのパフォーマンスを経験する。 ２００７年四月よりNew Yorkã«æ¸¡ã‚Šã€ã‚¸ãƒ£ã‚ºãƒœãƒ¼ã‚«ãƒ«ã‚’å§‹ã‚ã‚‹ã€‚ï¼’ï¼ï¼ ï¼˜å¹´ãƒ¬ã‚³ãƒ¼ãƒ‡ã‚£ãƒ³ã‚°ã¨ãƒ©ã‚¤ãƒ–を企画中。***** *****************************************************Shiori Shinohara was born in NAGOYA, JAPAN. She started classic piano at the age of 3 and at 15, became completely immersed in music by taking up singing, guitar, drums and percussion.While at Keio University in TOKYO, she started singing Funk, Soul, R&B, Rock and played many gigs at music venues such as Star Pine's Cafe in Kichijoji, Crocodile in Harajuku, Eggman in Shibuya, B Flat in Akasaka, Jirokichi in Koenji, Mile's Cafe in Ikebukuro, Guilty in Ebisu etc. Shiori also sang in a gospel choir with Japanese Jazz Singer, Chie Ayado. The choir had many chances to perform with her all over Japan including Tokyo International Forum, Osaka-jo Hall and the Aichi International Expo in 2005.Since moving to New York in 2007, Shiori has taken jazz vocal lessons with Michel Holmes and Barry Harris, and has performed in Lenox Lounge, Aruba Jazz Bar, Blue Owl, Greenwich Bistro, Isona Restaurant etc.Influenced by Carmen McRae, Aretha Franklin, Chie Ayado, Sarah Vaughan, Earth, Wind & Fire, Steve Wonder, Billy Joel, Sting, Marvin Gaye etc., Shiori's approach is not only from a jazz style, but also from soul, funk, gospel, latin, brazilian, and all of the kinds of music she loves.To cover so much musical ground, Shiori has chosen Steve Millhouse on electric bass, and David Martinez on percussion to complete the trio.Another passion is photography!!
