Hi there, I'm Caleb. I decided not to do the whole 3rd person thing because... well A. I already feel weird talking about myself and B...I'm just not that cool. So here we go... I grew up in Hastings Minnesota and started playing music when I was about 10. From a young age, my dad taught me how to play the piano along with my 2 brothers and 3 sisters. I wanted to be able to play like him so I soon learned how to improvise and put chords together like he did and wrote my first song when I was 14. When I was about 16, I picked up the guitar and started writing on guitar and piano.After spending a month in Iowa City hospitals battling bacterial meningitis in spring 2003, being able to play and write music took on a whole new meaning. But my writing was put on hold for 3 years while I played with up and coming rock band Raising Daybreak (www.myspace.com/raisingdaybreak) and solo artist Amy Fitzgerald while spending my last years of University at Anderson studying music business.Before heading to Australia in October 2007, I was able to record my first solo project "Songs From My Wall," with the help of Jeremy Good, Matt Klein, Steve Carlson, and producer Chris Brown. This 5 track EP covers some of my personal experiences with life, love and other things compiled over the last few years. I am in Brisbane until May and then I guess I'll go wherever the Lord leads.
