About Me

Cigarette Film Reviews™ ; My name is Adam. As time has past I've been able to reflect on my various passion's, one of which is film. For the past few years I have made it an effort to see atleast three to five new film's a week. Some might see this as lazy, but not for me. The film's are a form of escapism for me, to escape into another world that brings out innermost fantasies to life. I often go to Uptown Theatre located in Birmingham for independant film's and MJR Theatre located in Waterford for big budget Hollywood pictures. I prefer to see certain film's on my own, in privacy with no disruptions. If you ever see me at any theatre, come upto me and we can strike a conversation. Perhaps, I can suggest a good movie for you.

Jumper

GRADE : D+ Talk about disappointing. Director Doug Liman exuded style and cool in Swingers, Go and The Bourne Identity. He lost his way in the star bloat of Mr. and Mrs. Smith, and now his mojo is bu...

The Spiderwick Chronicles

GRADE : B "The Spiderwick Chronicles" is a terrific entertainment for the whole family, except those below a certain age, who are likely to be scared out of their wits. What is that age? I dunno; they...

Mad Money

GRADE : C- "Mad Money" is astonishingly casual for a movie about three service workers who steal millions from a Federal Reserve Bank. There is little suspense, no true danger; their plan is simple, t...

There Will Be Blood

GRADE : A- The voice of the oil man sounds made of oil, gristle and syrup. It is deep and reassuring, absolutely sure of itself, and curiously fraudulent. No man who sounds this forthright can be othe...

I’m Not There

GRADE : A- "I'm Not There" is an attempt to consider the contradictions of Bob Dylan by building itself upon contradictions. Maybe that's the only way to do it. If you made a biopic with Dylan played ...

Cloverfield

GRADE : B- Godzilla meets the Queasy-Cam in "Cloverfield," a movie that crosses the Monster Attacks Manhattan formula with "Blair Witch." No, Godzilla doesn't appear in person, but the movie's monster...

Into The Wild

GRADE : A For those who have read Thoreau's Walden, there comes a time, maybe only lasting a few hours or a day, when the notion of living alone in a tiny cabin beside a pond and planting some beans s...
