"after silence, that which comes closest to expressing the inexpressable is music" ~Aldous Huxley.
Coming together in 2008, The Heart Is A Lonely Hunter seeks to express. Whether it be thoughts, emotions, or experiences, The Heart Is A Lonely Hunter looks to say what words simply can't.
In 2007, Ben Nankivell and Travis Dalton began playing music with Collin Brewer, and the idea of a band was born. Soon after, being joined by Jacob Massey and Brian Cox, the project had completed it's first step towards completion- starting.
The weeks that followed can be summarized by words like chemistry and cohesion, but the science can only be defined by providence. The band played its first show hardly a week after forming and hasn’t looked back since.
Between gigging and recording their first EP, “We’re Not Meant to be Alone”, the guys have been pretty busy, but they can’t stop there. The Heart Is A Lonely Hunter is out to change the world- not for riches and fame and other trifles of life, but to help in a movement much bigger than five twenty-somethings; to take a stand against ignorance to the world’s issues, to help unheard voices shout.
Now, striving to the unique, The Heart Is A Lonely Hunter refuses to submit to the nothing new and hopes to be turning heads for years to come.
