Aurora committed suicide at only 15 . . .

This next song is dedicated to anyone who feels that your life has amounted to nothing...maybe you've gone too far and done too much,
that it's too late to turn back...that it's all over...
Please believe me when I say There IS hope!
Find a friend to confide in...talk to a Pastor...
Most of all, don't give up:
Get on your knees and open your heart to the One True God who loves you!
i am not used up

A member of ASCAP and American Composers' Forum, george edwin smith has spent the last 30 years directing adult and children's choirs, orchestras, bands, as well as teaching guitar and musical theatre production courses at Yuba College, Merced Community College, and at various California high, junior high, and elementary schools and churches. As an adjudicator, he judges more than a dozen events each year.
- Writing his first piece for windband at age 12, Smith set the stage for his career. He won his first composition contest at age 19, and won his first international prize at age 20.
- His first published Christian song was "I've Got a Road", published by Word Music, Inc. Later Christian songs were published in a collection "Wonderful Savior", by MasterPeace Music Ministries.
- George has a degree in Music Composition from San Jose State University, where he studied under Higo Harada, Tikey Zes, Brent Heisinger, and Alan Strange. Today, he devotes much of his energy writing music for orchestras, bands, and choirs for budget-strapped fellow music directors, and often customizes music for smaller school ensembles.
