About Me

Percussionist, proud father, good friend, have a tat with my daughter's name on it, and I am stuck in Utah.
I'm just a normal guy who loves to play his drums in my band and meet cool people of all aspects of life. I don't have any major issues, and I am just looking to find some cool, balanced (grounded) people to have a good time with. Can't there be some easy going--"good people" in this crazy ass state? "Hooking up" is not what I am looking for--I want to meet some real--cool--mellow people. After browsing around on the myspace thing for a bit, I have realized that there are some really fucked up people out there. Please, if you contact me, don't be fucked up...you know what I'm talking about.

You are "Love Tractor"
Which Widespread Panic song are you?
You are dancing hippie. you like dancing (obviosly)
and you are a happy person.
What hippie are you?
Which Grateful Dead member are you?

Micky Heart

My Interests

Playing music, camping, road trips, boating, diving, fishing, mountain biking, hiking, skiing (snow and water), hot tubbing, outdoor concerts, having a beer with a friend.

I'd like to meet:

Cool people. Any level of cool is good with me.
If you are not "real", then don't bother. Seriously...if you are looking to add me just for another number in your "friends" list...then you will soon find yourself off of MY friends list :)
Looking for some cool, real people to meet and share good times and philosophies with.
Ideally, however, you would be a huge music buff...you would understand what music can do to your soul. Even if your not a big music buff...as long as you are open minded and can comprehend the beauty of going on euphoric musical journeys, then I would love to hang out and have a few beers with you!

Music:

The String Cheese Incident, The Allman Brother's Band

, Widespread Panic, Leftover Salmon, Phish, Grateful Dead, The Disco Biscuits. There are tons of great bands out there who are unsigned...many of them are better than the ones who have made it bigtime. I really love bluegrass music...you know, the down-to-earth "root mucic".
This is what I like to do for fun!
This is my setup:

Movies:

The Castaway, Full Metal Jacket, Forest Gump, Meet the parents/Meet the Fockers, Saving Private Ryan, The Life of Brian, Amazon Women on the Moon. Good suspense thrillers are always good too!

Television:

Concerts on PBS is cool...otherwise, not much of a TV watcher. Wait...I had the TV on last weekend...I think.
You have been marked on my profile map!

Books:

After many years of text books, I have started reading some different type of learning books:. One is the "Berklee College Music Theory" workbook (I am learning to read music, and how to produce), the other book I am reading is "Recording and Producing in the Home Studio". Yeah, music plays an important role...my Computer Science degree just supports my hobbies:)

Heroes:

My daughter; Oh man, my BEAUTIFUL little girl is my reason for living. I mean, LOOK at her...is she not the essense of a care-free childhood? She has taught me more about myself than I ever could have imagined. She is a cool young lady--I am a lucky guy.

My sweetest daughter, Alyeska...daddy loves you more than you can imagine!
The new addition to the family--~Lexie~
