The Shakedown have been together for over five years, touring up and the Country and beyond living in a Transit Van.
The band have played two European tours, and performed headlining gigs throughout the UK, including playing to sell out crowds in Scotland at the Glasgow Barrowlands & Edinburgh Corn Exchange
Taking their cue from 50's Rock n Roll Pioneers through to 70's Glam Superstars they have received airplay on BBC Radio One and XFM, as well as a host of local radio stations across the country.
Their first EP, the self-released Roxpole Sessions, sold out twice over within the first two weeks of its general release in HMV stores in 2005. Further download sales ensured the bands seamless crossover into the commercial industry, gaining critical acclaim from music journalists and reviewers along the way.
Their second EP, released in June 2006 and imaginatively titled 'Roxpole Sessions 2' saw the band re-trace their rock n' roll roots and has, within weeks, become a firm fan and critic favourite. A national tour is currently underway promoting the release
