As a young child, Bishop Williams felt an inner call to the realms of ministry. Saved at an early age of eleven, he was drawn to holiness and righteous living. With an intense love for leadership, he enjoyed the closeness and mentoring of his childhood pastor and began to establish what would be an invaluable relationship. God was indeed preparing him for leadership at this early age by not only placing him in the heart of his pastor, but ultimately in the hearts of every leader in his future.
He submitted to God’s call to the ministry in October 1978 in the city of Lawton, Oklahoma and began to preach and teach the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Then, as Minister Adrian Williams, his pastor recognized the God given anointing upon his life and less than a year of his entrance into the ministry, he was ordained and Elder. A prophecy came to Elder Williams, one revival night, that his ministry will flourish and that God was going to propel him even higher so quickly, that it would astonish men everywhere. The prophecy proved to be nothing short of a Word from God. Elder Williams founded and established two churches, Old Time Way Church of God in Christ, Augusta, Georgia and the New Hope Church of God in Christ, Columbus, Georgia. During his pastorship of the Olde Time Way Church, the Lord allowed miracles and wonders to take place. With just nine members, they were able to purchase a church building for the ministry. To the amazement of the town’s people, word got back to the late Bishop J. Howard Dell, former Bishop of Northern Georgia Jurisdiction, regarding this great accomplishment, and the Lord sent Bishop Dell to Augusta to meet this young preacher who had done this marvelous thing. Immediately, the favor of God compelled Bishop Dell to take Elder Williams into the Northern Georgia Jurisdiction. God continued to place Elder Williams into the heart of Bishop Dell and Elder Williams served loyally as a Superintendent, Jurisdictional Chief Adjutant, National Adjutant Overseer and Seventh Administrative Assistant to the Bishop. Not knowing what God was divinely orchestrating, in January 1991 Elder Williams decided to retire from a very successful career with the United States Army, where he was elevated to the rank of Captain with logistics management his specialty. Now full time in the ministry, Elder Williams continued to serve under Bishop Dell with loyalty and faithfulness. From Seventh Administrative Assistant Elder Williams was promoted to Third Administrative Assistant to the Bishop. Upon the demised of Bishop Dell, just thirteen years after his entrance into the ministry, Elder Williams was appointed and consecrated Bishop of the Ecclesiastical Jurisdiction of Northern Georgia in October 1992.Since his elevation to the Bishopric, Bishop Williams has and is leading the Northern Georgia Jurisdiction to a new level in God and in the Church of God in Christ. Quality meetings, anointed services and first class ministries are just a few of the things that God has done through his leadership. Countless healing, miracles and deliverance have taken place under his ministry. In conjunction with leading the great Jurisdiction of Northern Georgia, Bishop Williams served as pastor of the Greater Christ Temple Ministries Church in Atlanta, Georgia from October 1992 to April 2002. In April 2002, the Lord birthed in Bishop Williams a ministry of deliverance. He now serves as founder and pastor of The Word of Deliverance Institutional Ministries located in Forest Park, Georgia. He also served in the Late Presiding Bishop Gilbert Earl Patterson cabinet as The National Executive Director of Public Relations for the Church of God in Christ. He is the husband of First Lady Muriel Williams of 34 years and father of one child, Charlene Denise, and three grandchildren. Bishop Williams endeavors to go higher in the Lord and is committed to serving as a churchman, builder, organizer, divinely appointed leader, preacher, evangelist, teacher and spiritually gifted man of God Myspace Layouts
