In his early years B.DeLaney developed a passion for music. Although he had a strong desire to rhyme, he kept his talent to himself in fear of how others would respond. One day his older brother, Alfred "Marv" DeLaney discovered B.DeLaney "rapping" in his room. He demanded that he take his craft seriously and B.DeLaney did not argue.

After developing a unique sound and style, DeLaney began participating in live events to give the fans a visual experience of his thought process.. Although his music reflects his experiences, DeLaney keeps his lyrics obtuse enough to make it accessible. DeLaney states, "I don't intend on sending a direct message out, because then some people will not be able to relate."

Soon B.DeLaney's name developed a "buzz." Producers wanted his lyrics to fulfill their melodies, artist's wanted DeLaney's verses to complete that empty space, and press wanted interviews. DeLaney was featured in the Potomac Newspaper July 31, 2008 and January 26, 2009. One of the two alongside long-time friend and music partner Shawn Johnson. Although he has had much success in such a short period of time, DeLaney feels their is still much to pursue. He says, " I am always grateful, but never satisfied." This is the attitude that will lead to great success. Comment for B.Delaney
