Nascido em 26/07/1960 Bacharel em Saxofones pela UFBA - Universidade Federal da Bahia. Também toca Clarineta e Flauta Transversal. Iniciou os estudos de harmonia e improvisação em jazz, na "AMA"- com os Profs. Sérgio Souto e Aderbal Duarte. Realizou diversos shows em Salvador- Bahia. Foi premiado pelo projeto Troféu Caymmi nas categorias de Melhor Instrumentista de Sopros, e de melhor Composição Instrumental. Viveu em Portugal por um período de 04 anos, onde realizou diversos shows isntrumentais; em Lisboa, Madeira, Açores, Coimbra ....... Estudou Jazz no Hot Club de Portugal com os Profs. David Gausden, Mario Delgado, Jorge Reis, entre outros. Cursos de curta duração com os músicos Paulo Moura e Nivaldo Ornelas. Tocou com grupos musicais de Angola, Guine Bissau, Cabo Verde e São Tomé. Atuou como saxofonista na orquestra dos maestro Fred Dantas. Acompanhou a cantora baiana Margareth Menezes, em varios shows. Foi professor substituto na UFBA- Universidade Federal da Bahia, no Projeto Axé e também na Escola Pracatum, de Carlilhos Brown. Está elaborando as composições para o seu novo CD, e atuando como músico e professor.************************************************** ************Born in 26/07/1960 Bachelor in Saxophones for UFBA - Federal University of Bahia. He also plays Clarinet and Traverse Flute. It began the harmony studies and improvisation in jazz, in the "AMA" - with Profs. Sérgio Souto and Aderbal Duarte. It accomplished several shows in Salvador - Bahia. It was rewarded by the project Troféu Caymmi in better Instrumentalist's of blows categories, and of better Instrumental Composition. He lived in Portugal for a period of 04 years, where it accomplished several shows isntrumentais; in Lisbon, Madeira, Açores, Coimbra....... he studied Jazz in Hot Club of Portugal with Profs. David Gausden, Mario Delgado, Jorge Reis, among others. Courses of short duration with musicians Paulo Moura and Nivaldo Ornelas. He played with musical groups of Angola, Guine Bissau, Cabo Verde and San Tome. It acted as saxophonist in conductor Fred Dantas' orchestra. He accompanied the singer baiano Margareth Menezes, in several shows. It was teacher substitute in UFBA - Federal University of Bahia, in the Projeto Axé and also in the Escola Pracatum, of Carlilhos Brown. It is elaborating the compositions for his new CD, and acting as musician and teacher.
