As an only child, his love for music came from listening to old school music and impersonating legendary artists. By the age of 13, Kidd had developed a strong interest for music. In the summer of 2002, Kidd joined a high school quartet dubbed "lyrix". The musical experience within the group gave Kidd an insight to a side of music in which he had never known. Things like pitch, harmony, and key signatures were new to him, but were quickly learned upon exploration. In the winter of 2004, the group seperated, but Kidd continued to produce beats and songs. Now that he had more experience and insight, his production of music would be flawless. Kidd Lucci quickly learned drum pattern software and begin to loop beats together. What was first a boom-de-bap-bap sound is now a big big bang! "Im not no rapper... Imma musician", says the 19 year old as he wipes off his $280 BURLEY Rope chain. To this day, Bass Boy Produktionz is responsible for hits by : D4L, STUNT MAN, YUNG CHAMP, PROFIT, LIL DUKE, BABY RILLA, STACK BOYS, PAULAY, DOWN BOTTOM...and many more.
