About Me

"Rubberband" was the original name of this band that started in 2000 with Rich and Derek, the longest-standing members. Then the group was called "The Conductors", and for a short stint "Mushroom Macrame". Now in its current incarnation we are "Terrapin Island".Jonny and Dave joined in 2004, completing the rhythm section and adding amazing three-part harmony vocals to complement Rich's lush piano playing and Derek's expressive drumming. Robbie stepped in to fill out the textured spaces we create with his inspiring Jerryesque leads.We have played around Brattleboro, Vt., for the last year-- as well as all over New England. We all work really well together and have a lot of fun doing what we do. Come out and check us out sometime!
