About Me

Susan and I met on a blind date in 1971. We both went to Brookville, and were only one year apart, but never knew each other. Got married in September, 1972. We have one daughter, Jennifer, who also went to Brookville and played xylophone there in marching band in the late 90s. Jennifer was BHS Class of '98 and Lynchburg College class of 2002. I have worked for AREVA (formerly Framatome, formerly B&W Nuclear Technologies) since 1969, working a wide variety of projects, doing R&D, and designing and programming automated specialized data aquisition and inspection systems. This has at times taken me around the world to France, Denmark, Germany, Taiwan and all over the USA. In 1996, before most high schools had a website, I started one for Brookville: www.bhsbees.com and I am still the owner/editor of that website. Susan and I are members at Heritage Baptist Church.

My Interests

I'm a work-a-holic, like rock music, and I'm a FoxNews junkie, especially since 9/11. I enjoy working on computers for friends, writing programs for work, creating and updating websites. Also I have been a ham radio operator since I was about 15, talked all over the world using voice, morse code, radio-teleptye, and currently own a VHF-FM repeater at the WSET-TV transmitter site that has been on the air since 1978. I like literally all kinds of music, have played piano and sang in quartets and groups in the past. When not working on any of the above, and not working on yardword, etc, we are enjoying visiting with our daughter Jennifer and her husband and their 2 sons. Its rare, but occasionally you might catch me on AOL IM (BHSBEES or BHSBEEZ).
