François Lalonde started out as a live soundman. In 1999, he started to work in Montreal's Studio Piccolo. He quickly went from assistant to recording engineer and to mix engineer.
He has worked on many Sony-BMG projects which have brought him to travel to Paris, Los Angeles, New York and Las Vegas where he recorded all of Celine Dion's vocals for her most recent album Taking Chances (Album of the Year & Pop Album of the Year Juno Nominee). He is now the appointed recording engineer for Celine Dion's vocals.
Based in Montreal, François has had the privilege of working with many French canadian recording artists such as Garou, Pierre Lapointe, Corneille, Andree Watters, Marilou, Lynda Thalie, Ily Morgane and many others.
RECENT PROJECTS
François recorded all the vocal tracks to Celine Dion's latest album Taking Chances. He had the opportunity to work with producers Linda Perry, John Shanks, Kristian Lundin, Kara DioGuardi, Ben Moody, Ne-Yo, Anders Bagge and excutive producers Vito Luprano & John Doelp.
François co-produced, with Marc Ouellette, lyricist Frederick Baron's debut album, Territoires Nord. François also recorded and mixed the album.
