About Me
Upon their return from a small stint in Rothenburg, Germany, the six members of Temple Hill realized that being in a band is more than just a couple of guys being able to play some music together. It is about being able to deal with five new brothers who, although they may have seen their differences at times, would have no problem cramming into the trunk of a car to fit all six members on a long road trip, or squeezing into a tiny, sweaty hostel room in Europe for a few nights.
There are many pop/rock bands out there, but few have the sound that Temple Hill has worked hard towards achieving. It begins with influences from within the band stemming from all different genres, including R&B, Rock, Hip Hop, and Soul. When you take the hard rock backgrounds of the rhythm section and stir it in with the soul tinged vocals and the jazz/progressive influenced guitar solos you get a mouthful of an assortment of delicious flavors that you just don't come across too often these days. Combine this taste with a tight, exciting, high energy live show and there is no doubt that if you come to see them, whether it's at a small bar in Manhattan, or on a huge stage at one of the largest international festivals in Europe, you will leave satisfied.
Temple Hill consists of six guys, all well-rounded in the art of musicianship, whether it be impromptu jamming or some serious studio time. It all started with two twin brothers, JP and Rich Molfetta, who grew up singing gospel and R&B and came to realize the beauty of epic rock and roll when they first heard Dream On by Aerosmith. They decided that they were going to form a rock band and call it Temple Hill. They recruited a couple of instrumentalists, including Bobby Studley on guitar and Bryan Spitzer on bass, and submitted a few professionally recorded tracks to the popular radio station K104.7-FM for a contest to play at their huge K-Fest concert at Duchess Stadium in Fishkill, NY, only to find out that they won! They ended up playing their first professional gig in front of thousands of screaming fans while opening up for Good Charlotte.
A few months later Temple Hill took the time to restructure the band due to scheduling difficulties and the busy life of being a musician. They recruited guitarist Jordan Yaeger and drummer Pat Vazquez as full time members and started furiously writing funky, hook-laden new songs together and soon realized that the chemistry was just right. With the foot-stomping bass lines and grooving beats, wailing guitar solos reminiscent of Eddie Van Halen, a hefty dose of funky riffs, and soaring vocals that make grown men cry and women both young and old swoon with delight, they were ready to take over the world.
After recently winning the East Coast national finals of the Emergenza music festival Temple Hill was flown out on an all expenses paid trip to Taubertal, Germany to compete in the International finals with 17 other bands from around the world. They ended up placing 6th out of the 6,000 total bands that competed on the international level, and now they are back in New York, and they are ready to rock your pants off, especially now that they have the whole world listening.
America... are you ready?
