THE NEXT EVOLUTION OF OPC
Evolution is a key ingredient in what has been the success of Other People's Children. What originally started in April 2008 as a two piece acoustic grunge project, quickly grew into a 4-piece grunge/metal project that spread their name fast and booked them over 50 shows in a 4 month period. Now, almost a year later, the sound has evolved even further. With the addition of a second guitar player ("Diamond" Doug Anderson) and a new bass player (Nick Clark), OPC's music has become the most defined it has ever been. The new sound is heavier, more technical, and very melodic. It pushes the limits of local music, as well as challenges every member of the band to make their best music ever. Its darker, in your face, and catchy as all hell!
This next evolution is guaranteed to blast these guys to the top. Split riffs, blasting drum beats, lead-like bass lines, and extreme, heart felt vocals, bring their sound together into a symphony for your ears. Its still OPC, just more volatile and much better!!
The sound has helped boost them throughout the local scene, and opened up various opportunities for the band. 2009 promises to be the year of OPC, with headlining spots in this years 2-day Campfest at the Mishawaka, support spots on this years first annual Cheyenne Metal Fest, and a national tour kicking off the summer with their friends Pain of Dying; by the end of the year OPC will be a household name!

"The rhythm starts slow and melodic, it travels up the spine to the brain and teases the senses. A light tickle begins in the chest and works it way down. The beat gets faster and heavier, the crowd responds. A turbulent mass of moving thrashing bodies intermix with the sounds streaming through the night. When we feel we can't possibly go any longer its slows, softly now, the sweet voice of reason enters to calm the masses and torture the minds that only want more, harder and faster.. but not yet. Held in rapture we wait, anxiously now. The wait pays off as you slam into us with hard hitting rips over and over again, and when we think its almost over, you stop, and tease. Your mouth caresses the mic like none other as you hold us in suspense of what is to be next. Then its delivered hard hitting and rough to a climatic end that won't leave anyone disappointed in the aftermath. Funny thing is no one can see they just got fucked good by OPC." - Robin Spencer
