Jordi Villalta
Since his arrival in Ibiza in 1994, Jordi Villalta’s career in the world of music has done nothing but flourish. His growing passion for electronica soon led him to his first pair of Technics and it wasn’t long before he secured himself a slot on local radio station, Cadena Cien Ibiza. These first steps into the world of radio in 1996 saw the beginning of his collaboration on world famous nightly programme Ibiza Dance, powered by the radio master of the island; DJ David Moreno. He was soon headhunted to host his own show on Flaix FM, where he remained from 2000- 2002, under the guise of Musical Co-ordinator, Presenter and Producer.

Since 2002, he has remained at Europa Fm, as Producer and Host of HDI “House de Ibiza”; a program which has continually gained popularity over the last 5 years. Reaching out to a wide spread audience, Villalta combines his faultless mixing of choice House and Electronica with a natural and informative interviewing skill. Amongst many others, he has interviewed DJs Carl Cox, Danny Tenaglia, Roger Sanchez, Martin Solveig, Armin Van Buuren, Pete Tong, Ken Ishi, Wally Lopez, Eric Morillo, Afrika Bambaataa, Sven Vath, M.A.N.D.Y, Timo Maas, Tiesto, DJ Sneak, Stonebridge..and artists and bands including Fisherspooner, Goldie Lookin’ Chain and Glamour to Kill….and so the list goes on.. Jordi Villalta has DJed at the island’s best clubs, including Amnesia, Pacha, Space, Privilege, Eden, El Divino and DC10 and further afield in mainland Spain, Zurich, Italy and Germany.

Throughout the years he has shared the dj booth with Cesar de Melero, , Mart-T, Les Schmitz, Richie Hawtin, Ricardo Villalobos, Robbie Rivera, Booka Shade, Brian Cross, Dj Pippi, David Morales, Dj T, Paco Osuna, Tania Vulcano, Carlos Diaz, Ben Sims, Marco Carola, Martjin Ten Velden, Toni Varga, Karim Shaker, Nick & Danny Chatelain, John Dahlback, Tocadisco, Reche, Dj Muster, Hofer 66, David Moreno, Andy Baxter, Sarah Main, Pepo Lanzoni, Dj Oliver, Sebastian Gamboa, Sin Plomo, Susso, Nano Vergel, Ruben DF, Marcos Cruz, Santi B. He is currently Resident in Amnesia’s long running weekly People from Ibiza whilst continuing with his daily radio broadcasts.

Spider and Legaz aka MAJORKINGS

SPIDER and LEGAZ met in Mallorca in 2000 and get on with each other quickly, their similar way to feel music, such as producing as spinning, took them to the recording studio. Their first maxi-single was 'In Love' - Cheky and Spider (Serial Killer Vinyl-2002), being included in the compilation DEEP DISH:TORONTO (Global Underground-2003). There was when DEEP DISH paid attention to them so they got into Yoshitoshi productions, remixing 'Sacramento' - Deep Dish (DDR-2005), and later '6AM' - Eddie Amador (Yoshitoshi-2006). At the same time they also remixed '1,2,3,4', an anthem on PROZAK TRAX by D.O.D aka César de Melero (Cassagrande-2006).

The sense of expectancy in their first works was so that after arrange their 2 own original tracks for YO! (Yoshitoshi), 'Psych'/'Majorca Roots', Sharam Tayebi (50% de Deep Dish) included 4 tracks by Spider and Legaz in his first compilation his own named SHARAM:DUBAI (Global Underground-2006), pointing the majorcan producers out as one of his favourite producers on 2006.

On national scene they do not go unnoticed so get nominations to 2 categories at DEEJAYMAGS 2006, producer revelation and best remix for 'Sacramento' of Deep Dish.

As Dj, last summer 2007 they were residents every moth of 'Cassagrande So Fresh!' parties at SPACE IBIZA (awarded with on Deejaymags 2007 as the best national party in EIVISSA.

Their sessions show exactly what they produce: House, Prog-House and Electro-House. Their rapport on decks is close, sessions full of energy and dynamism.

Currently, Carlos and Juan, Juan and Carlos, keep on working at studio as 'Spider and Legaz' for Yoshitoshi and 'Carlos Legaz and Spider' for many different national labels and also internationals all over the planet.

And also very important, they have a new studio, 'OXIDO MUSIC STUDIOS', an ambitious project by Carlos to expand sights in future where as well produce as be able to develop different projects with others artists and stiles.

In 2008 have joined Pro-Zak Trax as official remixers in their new age of the parisian label, a milestone of house in the 90's.

Philosophy (or how we think)
It's about the place and about the people, its about what they project to you and the vibe That we all feed from. The magic of the Balearic islands swims deep within you and with it you feel the warmth of the sun and the cool of the sea. This has to be a place where earth meets sun and people are bathed in all its glory and with that idylic lifestyle then there can be no better place for artistic developement with freedom of expression, There can only be one place like this on the planet.

If we add to this that Ibiza has been the epicentre of global electronic music since the beginning of the 70s, that the islands have become a worldwide focus point for recognizing producers and DJ's and turning them into global entertaining superstars, and Ibiza is still doing it the same way since it started. When you come to the balearic's its not surprisingly you can find producers and musicians that will tell you their best influences and ideas come from the very same spot that you maybe standing on, you can find producers and DJ's who have lived it first hand the warmth of the music and the pulse from the dance floor, producers and DJ's who know first hand what people are looking for in the islands: Happiness, buen rollo, good music and good cheer.

Baleric Masters has become a platform, a to return to the people a return to the floor to put those feelings that have been sleeping in the islands. Our producers and DJ's are going to use music as an weapon to transmit all the feelings that the Balearic Islands has to give. Get Ready because we're coming again.
