"Connected London" is a group of 13 Arts Management students from London South Bank University who are putting on an event at Westbourne Studios (home of Gorillaz/Tank Girl artist Jamie Hewlett, and the Portobello film festival no less!)
"On fertile Ground" is an event which explores cross-cultural existence in London through the medium of Dance, Art, Photography music and spoken word.
The night will give host to an array of performances by London based artists from various cultural backgrounds, including:
Our Headliners of the night, the show-stopping EMUNAH.
Emunah started in a North London bedroom in 2002, and have since become an 6-piece live monster. The Guardian called them 'the UK's hot new Jewish hip-hop act', but then what do they know? The Emunah crew hail from a variety of ethnic backgrounds, including Jewish, Palestinian and Russian. Emunah's repertoire spans hiphop, reggae, breaks and drum and bass, shaking dancefloors with their unique fusion of melodies from around the world, fat beats, conscious lyrics and rolling basslines.
The band have performed all over the UK and Europe, at venues including Thekla (Bristol) and Cargo, 93 Feet East and SEOne in London. They recently rocked the socks off of Paris and Budapest and headlined the Global Marquee stage at the 50,000-capacity Ashton Court Festival in Bristol. When not performing and recording with Emunah members have a variety of side projects, including performing with Klezmer band She'koyokh, film scoring, DJing at clubs and parties all over the UK, and remix / production work for various artists.

Italian photographer, PAOLO REGIS, is one to watch in the art world as he gears up for his exhibition entitled: "HUMAN POWER".
This dramatic series of panoramic photography captures a sea of a thousand bodies, united in their vivid and powerful energy. Many shots may appear to have been taken all over the world, yet the majority are shot in concerts by The Chemical Brothers in Berlin, Venice, Milan and London.
“I wanted to capture the vibrance and unity of thousands of people all together and take away everything that divides them,†explains Regis. â€I shoot the entire series with natural light and no re-touching. The fusion that you can see is completely spontaneus and pure. I worked only with my lens and what you could seeâ€.
Regis will also be exhibiting his work around the venue on the night, and selected works will be available to purchase.
