Profit Rekordz started in 1998 when Jacques van Ham , former guitar player with speed metal band Paralysis and Guust Lion tried to find an outlet for their musical and visual ideas in the form of a project called Another Prophet. Jacques sold his Marshall stack and with the help of an audio and midi recording program called Logic Audio, a Power Mac 8200, a Delta 44 soundcard, a Spirit Folio Powerpad and a couple of JBL speakers from Jacques’s car that were transformed to studio monitors, a couple of tracks were recorded that never made it on CD.Since then Profit Rekordz was asked to do a couple of recordings for other bands and in 2006, the plan emerged to produce a complete CD for the band Stone Dust .
