About Me



This is the MySpace page for steve mehallo, graphic designer, illustrator, font designer, brand specialist, college professor, husband, foodie and owner of a Prius, two rescue dogs and a parrot.

I freelance from my Sacramento-based home studio, grew up in the San Francisco Bay Area and worked several years in and around Silicon Valley. I've designed for several industries – from accounting to technology to philanthropy to art to music. Each project defines what look I end up creating.

I also teach graphic design history and typography as part of the Art New Media Department at American River College. Additionally, I teach design and typography courses at The California Art Institute–Sacramento, I am a past president of the Sacramento Art Directors and Artists Club , board member of Another Poster for Peace , I own many, many, many books and once drew a daily comic strip that featured a hippie, a cat and an exceptionally snotty designer named 'massimo.'
