After 2 yrs of being on Myspace I'm finally going to finish filling out the profile section.. I've come to realize the info I typed in then really doesn't represent who I am. So I'm gonna try harder now.. I also manage my work Myspace so that takes priority over my personel one. which is pretty shabby..
So I'm still at the same job about 10 yrs now, its a good gig. Its just currently times have changed so much and in so many ways its hard to figure out what people want and what you can make money on selling.. Being in an Indy business is no longer the best job on earth... Its a struggle with the youth of today growing up in a Walmart world, of cheap prices and cheap crap... Thats what makes work challenging..
My job puts me in contact with many of Pittsburgh artist. I am a big supporter of local arts.. and that doesn't mean I go to the arts festival 2 times during its run. I tend to go to alot of Gallery show openings and Gallery Crawls. And most important I buy Art.. I work with artist to get there art hung in our store...
My past is based in music. In the 1980's I worked in the recording studio, helping local bands get there music on tape.. I worked on a few projects that did get released and were well received in the music world.. The sudden death of my mentor / guiding force in the music biz, forced me to make some changes in my career path.A real job put me in the world of furniture refinishing and repair for a major dept store.. I was able to pick up this skill quickly. After 5 years of doing this the store closed . so I moved onto my current job.
