Shirley M, CEO & Founder ********************************************************** Ms Moore is a single mother of two teenage sons ages 16 and 14. Born in the Philippines and raised in Oklahoma now currently residing in Atlanta, Georgia. She is the youngest daughter of seven children. As a child Ms. Moore was very unique amongst her siblings, a prodigy as you would call her. She was an honor roll student, athletic, very creative, and a natural leader who always enjoyed helping others. It was in 1999 when she decided to up root her boys and make a change in her life for the better. After being involved in a near death car accident it was the monies she was awarded from that accident that allowed her to move to Atlanta, her true blessing in disguise. She sold everything she had, bought a new truck packed her families clothes along with a t.v. and traveled east a thousand miles away from home. After enrolling herself into college she gained full-time employment with an employer. It was during that time she worked full-time attended college nights, weekends and online full-time for four dedicated struggling years. Through many sacrifices she finally graduated February 2004 with a Bachelor of Science degree. Just recently the company she works for was acquired causing monetary changes in her lifestyle. It was then when God showed Ms. Moore her true purpose in life. Her mission is to reach millions of single mothers across the world and her vision is to “Enhance the Lives Of Single Mothers” by creating a sisterhood one that unites US as “Sisters 4 Life”. By doing so she has created an organization that will empower single mother’s world wide. God’s grace lead Ms. Moore to find a phenomenal team of intelligent single mothers with the same passion and who believes in the same vision as she does. Kelichia W., Chief Editor ____________________________ Kelichia, is a hardworking, dedicated, and motivated mother of two sons. She was born and raised in Newport News, Virginia. She attended and graduated from Denbigh High School in 1997. Kelichia obtained, and still maintains, her Cosmetology license in 1997. She joined the United States Army on September 19, 2001. She is still a member of the Army. Kelichia has sang and toured, in Iraq, with the R&B and Jazz/Combo bands, of the 3rd Infantry Division. Kelichia is also the author of 'The Men That Stole My Soul'. It was published and released in December 2007. She is slated to publish part II, in Spring 2008. In December 2007, Kelichia was appointed as Chief Editor of 'Women of Today' magazine. She looks forward to bringing the world, of single mothers, some insite on life and success.
Tanika F., Associate Editor ____________________________ Tanika is a 28 year old single mother of two beautiful children. She is originally from Newport News, VA and has been residing here for most of her life. She is a twice time college graduate from Strayer University *with honors* and now pursuing her Masters in Public Administration. She enjoys writing, reading, helping others, and most importantly praising the LORD! Tanika is an accounting specialist with Ferguson Enterprises, and now she is also associate editor of a upcoming, new and fresh magazine, named Women Of Today, a sisterhood of women that are here to uplift single mothers worldwide. She is well aware of the struggles of being a single parent, and knowing that it can be a difficult task she is ready to show the world, through our collective vision, that it is not impossible and often times so rewarding! Tanika seeks to show that other single women are not in trouble, inferior, or unable to properly raise and guide their children in the right direction. Within this sisterhood, we shall all rise!Nacole R., Senior Editor ____________________________Nacole ~ Single mother of two has so many different talents. She is a native of Atlanta, GA and there she still resides. Nacole graduated from Marietta High School which she also started Chattahoochee College her junior year there. She is currently a stay at home mom during the day and Event Coordinator at night. During her free time she enjoys sketching designs for her up and coming clothing line. Her hobbies consist of reading, writting poetry, playing pool, volunteering in giving back to the community, mentoring women on enhancing higher self-esteem and skating. During my journey in life I have been placed with four enlighting women which are now the WOMEN OF TODAY." We are creating a "SISTERHOOD" of women whos lifetime of dedication and work will pave the way for single mothers worldwide. We are working to increase opportunities for women one state at a time.
