I was born in California as a chubby blond haired baby on Sept. 19, 1983. I moved to New York in 1999.Attended QC in 2001 and my student development and leadership career began.
I was trained in organizing and mobilizing students with NYPIRG, New York Public Interest Research Group.
I attended every single QC Leadership retreats and BALA retreats I could.Served as Board member of NYPIRG ’01-‘03
-Organized grassroots campaign to clean up toxic waste.
President of Environmental Club ‘02-‘03
-Organized forum on Indian Point Nuclear Power Plant.
-Created recycling program to help the homeless.I then became the youngest President to ever serve as President of student government Student Association ’03 to ’04.
-Represented 18,000 students.
-Co-creator of CUNY Democracy Project, a get out the vote campaign.
-Expanded lunch time “Free Hour†for students and faculty.
-Created the most powerful student government by unifying the five student governments into one.
-Created the 1st annual student government leadership retreat.
-Uncovered a mismanaged, un-audited, and corrupt food operation.
-Created and Chaired a Food Task Force Commission.
-Supervised 23 students, a full-time Executive Office Manager and a part-time evening assistant.
-Supervised all programming activities for seven committees: Political Action, Freshmen/Sophomore, Charities, Campus Affairs, Academic Affairs, Multicultural Affairs, and Arts.I then served as President of Society of Leadership and Success at QC ’03-’05.
-Founded chapter at QC.
-Facilitated SNT’s.
-Organized Leadership Training Day.
-Received National Excellence in Student Leadership Award in Spring ’06.I also received two student leadership awards from the City University of New York.I worked as an Intern for Environmental Protection Agency for Performance Track.
Then worked for 1 and half years for a local politician Councilman Fred L. Pollack.
I am currently working as a Traveling Leadership Consultant for the National Society, traveling around the country training student leaders and giving motivational speeches.
