THE HISTORYStellarscope's leading man, Tommy
Lugo, takes you on a voyage throughout the boundaries of space and time. His
solo project evokes the sounds emanating from the stars. Blending pop
song-writing, ethereal guitar soundscapes, bleeps, noises, samples,
electronic beats, & floating vocals. He has recorded 11 full
length albums since the winter of 2001.
He is also known in the underground
circuit for the festivals, shows, tours, and constant work that he does to
further scene in the Eastern US and abroad working with hundreds of bands
since 1998 with his company Patetico Productions.WHAT HAS BEEN RECORDEDfear of noise and other shrieking

so much that it is unbelievable! This really is some of the best noisepop
created in ages.....awesome! This one will really blow you away. Great work
and composition with multi-tracks and finding the counter-melodies.....the
layering technique is better than ever. some of the work seems to pick up
where (Van Hoen's) Scala or Flying Saucer Attack left off. This is very
fertile territory....ripe for more exploration. These songs are strong
enough to exist without a lot of beat structure, This is some heady and
vital new music being made here..
A whirlpool of sonic distortion
soaked in a swarm of neon bees, guitar soundz swirl & occasional
eruptions into noize flares, electro beats provide hypnotic continuity,
solid state to this bizarre funnel of sound, the vocals emerge & soar
away from the noize as mantra-like phrases, beckoning. Fred of LA
Panophonic's 1st & riveting 2001 lp OMNI-DIRECTIONAL, draws on the sonic
psychedelic soundz occasionally associated with such bands as Primal
Scream & Spacemen 3, but the flow has an indigenous dimension to it. A
brilliant indicator of the type of creative wallop you can expect from Tommy
Lugo, Philadelphia's latest psychedelic rock guru. Panophonic is Lugo's solo

under the name of Panophonic, Lugo
veers off to even more otherworldly territory than Stellarscope. Singing
entirely in Spanish (Lugo is of Puerto Rican descent), Lugo utilizes more
electronics, drones and atmospherics on Alumbra, creating a haunting, mesmerizing,
and at times mournful mood. Brant Diaz Somewhere Cold MagazineWHERE TO FIND ITFor
