Anya K is not just a pretty face or another blond; she is... read on.The world was blessed with her arrival on a Siberian Autumn night in 1977 in Russia. At the tender age of 5, Anya showed early signs of a musical career when she took to playing the piano. Her natural musical ability allowed her to pick up the accordion, guitar and even the percussion in the years to follow. As well as having an outstanding musical ear, she was extremely studious and worked hard at school, consistently achieving top grades which eventually led her to getting a top place at the State University.During her studies, Anya got wind of a position at a local radio station. After a brief audition, she was awarded with an opportunity to work on radio, she was 18 years old. A year later she was head-hunted to work for one of the first commercial radio stations, Europa Plus, where she remained for a further five years. During this time she held various journalistic jobs, stints of TV presenting as well as continuing as a radio DJ. In 1998, she became a night club Arts Director, where she made her first live DJ-Set.Her talents continued to take her far and wide, so did her presenting and promoting of events and concerts throughout Russia and some former soviet republics. Her horizons started to broaden, and the brighter city lights began to beckon her talents.After receiving her university diploma in English and French, Anya moved to Moscow and continued her presenting at Radio Monte Carlo (under the alias of Madeleine Astor) where she worked for five years. During this time, she presented her own weekly French music show and the Hit 40-UK chart show. Her tri-lingual ability, landed her posts as a reporter for the MTV Europe Music awards, the Top 10 Sexy awards, Monte Carlo Television Festival in Monaco, the 40th Montreux Jazz Festival to name but a few.Having established more than 10 years experience presenting on the radio airwaves, Anya decided to take a sabbatical. After travelling back and forth between Paris, Geneva, Rome and London, Anya eventually took the decision to leave her homeland. On one trip to Lausanne, she was seduced by its charm and calmness and decided to remain on the Swiss Riviera.Soon after settling in Switzerland, she received a proposal to collaborate and DJ for regular Russian parties in Geneva. Furthermore she has established a party organisation, “Gloss Nights†with two friends. Anya is currently in Lausanne. She is the events coordinator at the Kai Zen Events agency and the resident DJ at the Kai Zen Lounge Bar. Her choice of music and blend of mixes are to die for.For bookings:
