Born in Detroit Michigan, JaySkip, James Skipper, was destine to be a successful music artist. Singing since age 3, music really took its toll on him at age 12. Now at the age of 19, JaySkip is becoming well known around his city with his vocal skills. With the voice that melts the hearts of the ladies, JaySkip has been able to develop his skills as a very talented singer and songwriter. With songs such as "Dear You" and "Freak Fa Sho", this is just the beginning of what we call an "Epidemic." Working with local artist and producers such as Jon Blakk, Key Diego, and Young Truth, JaySkip is still maintaining his academics at Wayne State University while trying to develop his career as an artist. Now currently working with a local upcoming label, Stak Musik, JaySkip is getting ready to release a long awaited CD titled, SECRETS: The Mixtape that's due out on Feb. 14. "My devoted and strong belief in my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and having my mother by my side is what really helps me and motivated me to do what I love to do." JaySkip is a phenomenal vocalist and a very tremendous songwriter. With the combination of R&B/Soul and being brought up in the church, he has the sound that can touch many people around the world. With his strength and determination, it is bound for him to prove to the people why he is known as "The Prodigy of Music."
