Phoenix Promotions have recently become sole promoters to a brand new pub based venue in the High Peak. Ideally located halfway between Manchester and Sheffield and just over an hour away from Nottingham, we can provide a new audience to bands from those areas, plus touring bands with a new venue. With no other venues in the area catering to metalheads, by providing weekly rock/metal gigs we can tap into an audience that are hungry for decent music. The Crypt is also easily accessible by public transport, especially by train...only 45 minutes from Manchester Picadilly, making it viable for travelling fans.
Although not a large venue, there is a live feed from the venue itself to screens in the main pub, giving people the option of either joining the crowd in The Crypt or enjoying the shows from the comfort of the pub.
As general rule, we don't ticket gigs at The Crypt, instead relying on bar takings to fund the venue.
This is a very exciting new venture, with high ambitions. We'll be posting regular blogs/bulletins with updates so keep an eye out for them.
Although the venue only launched in February, we are already close to being fully booked until August, with several touring bands as well as more local bands booked in.
