, at the age of 7, my dream to play it grew day by day.
Finally the dream came true: I got my very first guitar a couple of months later. When I was between 8 and 10 I took my first classical guitar lessons.I realized it would have been my personal instrument from the beginning, so I started to take electric guitar lessons with a private teacher.
I got into progressive – rock so spontaneously.
When I turned to 13 I was asked to join the rock band Storm – it was a genre very close to Deep Purple, Ozzy Osbourne, Pink Floyd, The doors – well known in the central part of Italy, we released an Album together, called “The Elephant Man”.
At the age of 15, I united with some friends to form my first prog – metal band, Area 51.
We used to compose our songs inspired by some great progressive metal bands, like Dream Theater. We have released a demo.
From the age of 16 to 22, my dedication was for 5 Ep – I would like to mention “And ever”, ”Road to Fairyland”, “One”among my favourites: I really needed to go through them, to improve my technique and expression abilities.
Later, new projects with many different bands began: first Blazing ice - we've released 1 Demo and a EP together; then Eternal Breath - our Album sold over 1000 copies considering the italian version; Dream Theater Tribute Band (3 years together); Time Zero, seeing the participation of Soulblade bass player Ricky - we worked on a demo, containing the song “Zero” . The same period I was teaching classical guitar on several school in Italy.
After various projects in the following months, I had my big chance to make music.
An Italian producer occasionally listened to Area 51 and he contacted us. We started to talk about a new experience together, which is my current prog-rock band Gasthof Rose.
