Danyel started DJing in the early 90's of Amsterdam, where he was influenced by the acid-house and techno music that was present in those days. Soon he became a well-asked DJ and played regularly in and around Amsterdam, together with dj’s like Lucas, Mitch & Zen.
Playing mostly in clubs (such as Mazzo R.I.P) and underground party’s He eventually teamed up with Dj Zen and together they started the weekly club night Doors Of Perception in the Trance Buddha club. This turned out to be a success and for years to come a busy and popular night in Amsterdam for the trance scene.
Around this time he also got involved with the underground labels Adodisc&3rd Mind Records. They released some great music from Amsterdam based artists such as Acidlab, Blacklight &Synchro and more international acts such as Ganguru from France and Doda from the U.K.
This leaded him to also start playing on a more international level where he covered most of the European country’s (Germany, Poland, Denmark, Sweden, Switzerland, Spain, U.K, Croatia, Belgium, Greece) also in Israel, India and South Africa where he played regularly for Wizard of Oz & Alien Safari, who are still one of the best organizations in Cape Town. He toured in Japan as well and eventually started exploring South America where he played in Costa Rica Bolivia and Brazil.
Around 2000 he worked together with Dj Manuel on the label Uphonic focusing on a more deep and slower sound releasing 2 compilations and various 12 inches, from a international mix of artists in a 3 year period.
Eventually deciding to keep focus on Dj ing and also spending more time in studios rather than trying to run a label.
The same time he was asked to play for Neurobiotic Records, by doing so he also decided to stay in Brazil and focus on his life and music there.
He was already playing there since 2000 and has played from north to south of the country on many festivals and party’s and had his base in Rio De Janeiro where he started working with the Wild Artists booking agency who are responsible for many great line ups of some of the biggest and best events in Brazil.Now back in Europe after having lived 3,5 years in Brazil his focus for music became more on the minimal techno side and down tempo styles.
Spending more time on learning production techniques and djing in Europe.
His taste in music has always been open-minded focusing on good grooves in a hypnotic style.
