In October 2005 I decided that I wanted to do my part to support our deployed U.S. Troops. At my place of work there are a few people that have loved ones who are currently in Iraq, who have recently been there and some who have had loved ones killed in Iraq. One of the women has a son over there and we made up a large care package and shipped it over to him. About a month or so later, she posted a thank you letter from him for everyone to read. He was truly thankful for everything that we sent and he mentioned that he shared many of the items with his fellow soldiers because a lot of them don't receive mail.
I knew there was something that I could do to change that. So I created my Website, www.TroopCarePackage.com. The purpose of this site is to get us in touch with them. By signing up to sponsor a deployed troop member, you will receive their name and shipping address and sometimes their email address. From there, you can write to them, email them, and ship them an occasional care package.
