I am a mommy now, and that changes everything.

About Me

myspace graphics

It is funny when people try to portray themselves as opposite of what they say they despise, when in truth they emulate it.What can I say about myself? I tend to be strong in my convictions. I have very strict ideas of right and wrong. I don't think there tend to be shades of grey in valuistic ideas. However, every now and again certain things arise that throw all of that out. Even I have to admit that. I believe in my husband. He does everything in his power to provide a good life for his family. He wants nothing but the best for us, and I want to do everything in my power to thank him for that. I am close to my mommy. Sure, we've had our hard times together, but I see a lot of truth in the adage about "what doesn't kill you only makes you stronger." She was always there for me, and I can only hope to return the favor for as long as I live. My daughter is my everything. I have loved watching her develop these past eight months. I couldn't have been blessed with a more beautiful family. I almost lost a dear friend a while ago. She is my best friend, although I don't think I've ever told her that. She reminds me of all the good things I want to be. I have never laughed as hard as I do in her presence. And that is saying something. Trust me. Live well, enjoy life, and love forever.Friends are really important to me. Family sticks together because they must, but friends stick with you because they care. I love friends who accept you how you come, and the only expectation they have of you, is for you to do the best you can in life. I consider myself a loyal friend. If you prove yourself to me, I will go to the ends of the earth to protect you. I will stand next to you, even if I don't necessarily agree with what you are doing. On the flip side, though, I expect loyalty and trustworthiness in return. If I can't trust you, I can't be around you. There is far to much for me to lose.

This is for my Daughter. Savannah, the only thing that I hope sticks closest in your heart forever is how much you are loved. You are the most important thing to mommy and daddy. We are so proud of you. We love greeting each and every day by seeing your smile. Mommy and daddy promise to do our best to keep you healthy and happy, and to protect you from pain. But, when life gets past our barriers, we hope that you will always know that we are here for you, no matter what. You are our pride and joy. You are the very essence of life, and perfection. Mommy wants you to know that the mark of the butterfly that you carry is a kiss from Great-Grandma, for she so loved you, that after her death she met you on your journey into this world, and placed her lips on your forehead, in a silent promise to always watch over you. You will always have her watching over you. Mommy and daddy want you to remember to hold happiness and love close to your heart, laugh often, and remember to dance...always dance. That way, you bring joy to others. We love you, sweet pea.

I love studying Chamorran culture. Actually, I just love eating Chamorro food, and going to fiestas.

I'd like to meet:

Those who are interested in pursuing the beautiful things in life. Happiness and Love being the two most important. I want to meet people that can survive without showering themselves in drama everyday. I'd rather not know, and go about with a smile, than know and have weariness in my heart.

My hero is my Husband. He goes out there day after day willing to die for people he doesn't even know. He works his ass off without much appreciation every day. He goes to work every day willing to stand up for our nation, and willing to lay down his life when that nation is attacked. Then he goes home every night, turning a blind eye to protesters that think he has a blast training to take someone else's life. Believe me, he would much rather not know how to fire a gun to kill, or fire a torpedo to encinerate. He would much rather work in an office or something, and come home each day at 5 p.m., to be with his family. But this is something that he believes in. Even when he has to drive past the protesters, who are able to be out there protesting his line of work, simply because people like him are in this line of work. Besides which, he gave me a beautiful little girl, and a wonderful life.
