I am here for Friends

About Me

I Hold to the belief that no one ever truly knows who they are because a person's personality and beliefs are constantly changing. I try to be as go with the flow as possible, but I have my down moments. I am pretty friendly once I get to know you; at times it is hard to shut me up. Beyond that, I can blend pretty well into most social groups, though I tend to lean towards befriending the more right-brained artistic types, being one myself.

My Interests

I like to draw, paint, read, watch movies, listen to music, hang out with friends, drink coffee, write, pretend that I can write, act silly, spend too much time on the Internet, play with my cats, lay by the pool, cook, bake, and swim.

I'd like to meet:

Mary Poppins (because I've always wanted to go adventuring in sidewalk art), Jareth the Goblin King (so I could fear him, love him and do as he says), Chuck Palahniuk(just because I think he would be a blast to hang out with), and Cinderella (to see if she ever argued with Prince Charming about dirty underwear on the bedroom floor). Also, someone that can and does use proper spelling, grammar, and punctuation...at least most of the time. I would also like to meet a cat like this.

Music:

My Chemical Romance, Cursive, RHCP, Green Day, Bright Eyes, H.I.M., Weezer, the Pixies, Hot Hot Heat, Scapegoat (a local band), Nile (death metal), Frank Sinatra, Billy Idol, and almost anything else you can think of. Eclectic is the word.

Movies:

Donnie Darko, Mary Poppins, Saved, Rules Of Attraction, 40 Days & 40 Nights, Princess Bride, John Hughes films (Pretty in Pink, Breakfast Club, etc.), Troy, House of Flying Daggers, Fight Club, Breakfast at Tiffany's, the Sound of Music, The Phantom of the Opera, Monsters Inc., Finding Nemo, Scarface...and the list goes on.

Television:

Don't watch much TV anymore. Just House, new CSIs and occasionally Gene Simmon's Family Jewels.

Books:

Anything by Chuck Palahniunk, Terry Pratchett, Neil Gaiman, Alice Hoffman, John Steinbeck, or Christopher Moore. Also, The Otherland series by Tad Williams. Fear and Loathing In Las Vegas/Hunter S. Thompson. Behind the Attic Wall/Sylvia Cassidy. The Neverending Story/Michael Ende. Skinny Legs and All/Tom Robbins. The Poisonwood Bible/Barbara Kingsolver. The Virgin Suicides/Jeffrey Eugenides. I have so many more....but I don't want to bore you....

Heroes:

Audrey Hepburn for being humble and graceful and everything a woman should be, Holly Golightly for knowing how to be wild and fall in love, Mary Poppins for being stern lovable and able to fly and jump in chalk drawings, Frank Sinatra for being sooo smooth, Jareth the Goblin King for looking good in leather pants and playing unfairly, Carlos Mencia for speaking his mind and my mother for being Superwoman.
