BIOGRAPHY
Nick D is a breath of fresh air from any form of Hip-Hop/Rap music you ever heard. He takes all the elements from rap music that people like and slightly takes it and makes it his own. His music is influenced by rock, rap, pop, r&b, blues and many more. The way he approaches his songs is unique, because if you hear a certain situation or event in his song it means he has actually lived it, whether it is a night at a club, his girlfriend dumping him or someone trying to fight him.
THE MAN
Nick D simply is different, being born Nicholas Alexander Davenport November 3, 1988 in Fort Lauderdale, Florida he came into the world a little different learning how to read and write at the young age of two years old. He was very advanced for his age and going into elementary school he started writing poems which many won contest at his school. In second grade he started playing instruments such as the drums and trumpet. His older brother helped push him down this path being an established musician playing in the orchestra, he would greatly influence Nicholas. Music and poetry wasn’t Nicholas’ only endeavors, he was a very good athlete and soon he would have to choose.
CHOICES
End the long run he chose sports and put poetry and music on hold, but would later get back to it in 2005 his junior year of high school. This when he bought a 100 dollar condenser microphone from Sam Ash and got to business, with crude recording no mixing and his group of four other friends, a mixtape was created. This got them known around school, but the group thing wouldn’t work after their second and final mixtape. The reason it didn’t work is because they didn’t want it like I did. So Nick went on solo, but still did songs with his former members. After graduating high school it got serious and that summer he went into overdrive. The production got better thanks to his little brother who makes the majority of his beats and the mixing got pretty close to professional still recording out of his house.
THE FUTURE
Now attending college at Bethune Cookman University, he has gotten a name for himself by making a school anthem that caught everyone’s attention. It got him noticed and his fan base is constantly growing. Now looking to get heard and signed Nick D is trying to make in the business and won’t stop till he gets it.
