Paul Banks music can be heard, shared, and befriended at these locations:
"Banks' melodies are beautifully mezmerizing."
- The Austin Chronicle, Album Review
"Songwriter Paul Banks is another Austin force to be reckoned with . . . His favorite songwriter is Paul Simon, but Banks' voice has supreme range. He can go from sounding like a folk-singer Strokes frontman to a gorgeous Roy Orbison to stripped down Muse. There is an epic sweep to Banks' songs . . ."
- San Antonio Express News, Show Review
"The perfect swell to ring against de Ville’s rock grotto, local songsmith Paul Banks and his Carousels quartet build mesmerizing pop wrought with vocals that split the difference between Rufus Wainwright and Jeff Buckley."
- The Austin Chronicle, Show Recommendation
"Soaring and dare I say angelic vocal stylings, which easily split the difference between Thom Yorke and Jeff Buckley. I’d be lying if I said I’m not absolutely floored by this man’s singing, and I have yet to hear a sour note leave his lips . . . His band was quite impressive as well, they not only played well but managed to keep up with Banks’ vocal acrobatics with flawless harmonies."
-Whoopsy Magazine, Show Review
"...managed to put together eight tracks that confidently tell their stories with a charm and melodies that stick in your head. I've been whistling "Live to Share" for a week now, and I'm okay with that."
- Austin Sound, Album Review

Paul Banks: Life for the Charm
Uploaded by eikonproductions

Sam Cooke and The Beatles come together in an early fan video of Paul Banks and the Carousels at Stubb's in Austin:

Tweeters should click here to follow Paul Banks on Twitter for updates, if they desire to stare into the mosaic of Paul's fragmented digital life.

Paul Banks: vox, guitars, piano, organ, whistling, yelping.

The current line-up, infamously known as The Carousels
Hunter Dryden: lead electric guitar
Jonathan Nesvadba: bass guitar, vox
James Summers: drums, percussion, vox

On the self-titled record:
Daniel Ellsworth: piano, organ, electric piano, hand claps, laughter, the occasional inappropriate remark, etc.
Adam Keafer (the biv, tyler james): bass guitar, general merriment, etc.
Dan Burns (the biv, tyler james): drums, cymbals, sleigh bells, killer smile, etc.

Influences: thousands of 'em

It very rarely ever snows in Austin. Paul Banks hadn't sledded since he was 6-years-old. He ran right into a 6-year-old when he tried it again. Everyone was fine, so don't worry about the kid.
Sounds Like:give the self-titled record a listen on iTunes, if you want to. or come to a show. we love you.

Record Label: grandma's garage
Type of Label: Indie
