My name is Dan Patton. I am 14 years old, and live in Swinton, Manchester. I Have played Drums for several bands over the past few years. "Broken Dream" .. "O.C.D."..."Hard To Handle"..."The Change"
I started playing Drums when I was 10 years old. I would go and watch my Dads band rehearse, and his drummer at the time, Colin, would let me play on his kit while the packed away.
That Christmas I got my first kit. A Yamaha DD55. I played on that untill my birthday when I got a Yamaha DTxpress.
A few months later I came home to find my first real acoustic kit set up in my Dads living room. It was a Tama Rockstar Custom. I played this kit for the next two years. And still play it now at smaller venues. I have just got a new kit after saving most of my Gig money for months. Its a Tama Starclassic.
My Dad would take me to local Jam Nights where I got to play with lots of different musicians. It was at one of these Jam Nights where we met Max Cottam, a guitarist from Leigh. Then with the help of one of my Dads old friends Haydn Jones. The four of us started our own Jam Night.
Thats where I met Kurt & Cam Maunder. Identical twins from Bolton. They were 12 and I was 11. After playing together that night we formed "Obsessive Compulsive Disorder" (O.C.D.)
I Played with O.C.D. until 2009. I am now lookig to join or form a serious band with the aim of making a carrier in music. I have also played with a few other bands when they have needed a stand in Drummer. I even got to play on a cruise ship with a band called The Flyers. Me, Dad & Max Still do our Jam Nights too, where we get to meet and play with lots of cool people.

In March 2008 I got the chance to play with a Punk Band from the 70..s called "The Change". They were doing a 30th aniversary Gig at The Phoenix Club, with another Band from the same era, called "The Fast Cars". We did a few rehearsals at Red Bridge Studios to blow the cobwebs off. The guys in the band (Foz /vocals..Paul/ Guitar..Dave/bass) had not played together since 1990 ( 4 years before I was Born!!) I had a Real good time working with them and the Gig at The Phoenix Club was great!! looking forward to working with them in the future..

CHARLIES BAR..Lanzarote. April 2008..
In April 2008 Me and my Dad went to Lanzarote for a week. My Dad had been before and had told me about a Live Music bar called "Charlies"..
We went there on the first night, and every night after. We didn..t need or want to go anywhere else.
It was Fantastic. The resident Band were called "Skin & Hide"..and I had the pleasure (and Privilege) to play with them every night. The drummer "SHAKY" was good enough to step down and let me play with the rest of the band. (then he would run stright to the bar) "JON GOLD " lead Vocals and acoustic Guitar. This guy had us laughing all night, and what a voice!! "SHANE" Vocals and lead Guitar. This lad can play!! "SERGI" Bass Guitar and backing vocals (And the voice of Gloria!! " you had to be there"..) "MASSIMO" Vocals, Guitar, Saxaphone, Harmonica. you name it he can play it!! Sometimes the owner of the place "MURPHY" would even get up and play.. All in all a very talented bunch, and all Very Nice People!
Lanzarote is a nice place, But Charlies Bar is a Great place!! And I cant wait until we go back!....
