"A flower doesn't grow on sunny days alone." It's one of my favorite lines and one that I feel best describes the journey that I seem to be right in the center of. I don't analyze the instincts God has given me or the paths he has led me down-I just try to make this ride through life as sweet and thrilling as possible...and music...that's my fire and sugar.My name is Jessica Lynn. I'm the 20 year old girl who moved to the big city 4 days after graduating from high school from a small town in the midwest...in pursuit of one thing: to perform. I am a singer. There are so many things that I do not know in this world and so many questions I may never have the answer to...but I know that I am supposed to sing. God placed a love for music in the center of my heart ever since I was old enough to stand...and now it seems it's been carrying me my whole life. It's the only language I know how to speak sometimes...when words just don't do my emotions justice. For the chance to inspire others as other artists have inspired me...I will continue to work harder each day with more passion and fight with each breath that the Lord blesses me with. On a lighter note...I'm a student at Broadway Dance Center in Manhattan (dancing is another passion of mine that I am SO thankful for. I've been dancing hip hop/street jazz my whole life and took my first class when I moved out here at age 18...and I can't seem to stop), have had more jobs that I would have ever imagined...Starbucks barista-nanny in the Hamptons-dog walker-retail associate-waitress and bartender-typist-Go Go dancer-you name it...gotta get that money to foot the bills for dance classes and studio time...and it's worth every penny. I'm motivated, goal-orientated, passion-driven-competitive, positive and productive, loving and compassionate...but above all else...I am a daughter of God and I want more than anything to help fulfill his will. He knows me and what I am capable of...so each day I strive to be the best person I can be and become more of the person he wants me to be...the person he knows I can be. I life, when it comes down to it, that is my greatest aspiration. "A flower doesn't grow on sunny days alone."..and I assure you that I will continue to grow and blossom...so please stay tuned for more music and feel free to let me know what you think of any music on my page thus far...I appreciate any feedback. I will continue to produce music that represents who I am and what i believe in and enjoy i life...take the rainy days to get to the sunny days...live, laugh, and love...and then write a song about it...
