Micki and Natalie are “2 Ladies From The West Side”, their funky soulful R&B sound is guaranteed to have any audience dancing and singing along. These 2 ladies are no strangers to the music world. Micki Jones (Guitarist & Vocalist) started singing at the young age of 15 and shortly after started stroking the guitar. Studying with some of Baltimore’s best instructors, Micki joined one of Baltimore’s first all female bands “She Devil” where their manager taught them the art of performing. Micki has shared the stage with Eddie Kendricks, Larry from the Bar-Kays and Cameo to name a few. Natalie (Vocalist) started singing at the age of 10 in the fifth grade. She studied with one of Baltimore’s highly regarded vocal instructors, Joseph Eubanks, formally of Morgan State University while in high school. She won best vocalist in the All City and All State Competition in 1984. She has shared the stage with Tone Toni Tone and several other local Baltimore bands. Both Micki and Natalie will have you smiling and saying to yourself, that’s my song. Their large song list and experience makes it easy to appeal to all types of audiences. Micki and Natalie are now performing such styles as jazz, soul, blues, r&b and funk. These ladies with an experienced band of musicians are ready for any occasion. ____________________________________________________________ _ 2nd Hand Truth is a four piece band. Each member has over ten years of musical experience, and the band delivers a wind range of cover tunes along with a few originals. The bands song list covers a wide range of artist from Marvin Gaye to The Police, from Wilson Pickett to John Mayer, Tina Tuner to Chaka Khan, B.B. King to Norman Brown. Audiences will hear genres such as Jazz, Funk, Blues, Popular, Rock, Disco, R&B, and Soul. 2nd Hand Truth’s spontaneous show arrangements give the audience a different performance time after time. 2nd Hand Truth is right for any occasion. The Band can also perform an acoustic show, great for small coffee houses & bookstore cafes.
