Are you a band or a musician with a contract you've signed that you don't fully understand?
Do you need help with a contract that's being presented to you, either to navigate it or negotiate it?
Do you think you have the rights back to an old record but aren't sure?
Is your band not being accounted to by a current or former label?
Do you just need some general guidance from someone with experience in the music industry to help explain how it all works?
Perhaps we can help.
Clandestine Music is a music consulting company based out of Dortmund, Germany that helps musicians and bands negotiate new deals (including recording, publishing and merchandise) or thoroughly understand ones they've already signed. We aim to help you either up front as your buffer between a label and their lawyers and you, or working covertly behind-the-scenes and giving you the benefit of our 20 years experience in the music industry. We work with the musicians, both explaining the contracts being presented to you and cutting through the red tape so that you know exactly what it is you're signing and that you're getting the best possible deal before you put your name on the dotted line.
Clandestine specialize in metal and hardcore music out of personal interest and background, but our services are available for artists or musicians of all types.
Clandestine is a two-man partnership. The founders:
* Leif Jensen, who spent 8 years as the Head of A&R for Century Media Europe, and who has an in-depth understanding of musicians' concerns, having spent the past decade as the frontman for a metal band that have toured the world and having made endless contacts over the course of 6 studio albums.
* Ula Gehret, a former journalist for magazines such as Metal Maniacs, who later worked for Century Media for 13 years (in both the US and Europe), and who handled their Business Affairs and international licensing before being named their European Label Manager from 2003 to 2006.
Both Leif and Ula left their full-time positions with Century Media in September of 2006 in order to found Clandestine and are now dedicated to helping as many musicians as they can. English, German and Spanish language support is available. .. ..
