i dont understand many things in life, perhaps just as much as the next person. life's full of ups and downs...'sometimes ups outnumber the downs...' as once put by a friend from high school, life's a roller coaster ride. and u gotta learn to face ur fear of heights, speed or whatever other fear comes with riding a roller coaster...even death...because if you dont, you'll only be hurting like you've never experienced pain. not physical pain. that other kinda pain that people talk about. that emotional pain. not to say that all emotional pain is bad, but damn does it hurt when it stings.
one thing that i find worth living for is my greatest passion: dance, mexican folklore to be more exact. been doing it for 19 years now. it's what i do best in this whole world i believe. whether that's a good thing or not, i dont know.
music always speaks for you when you cant express yourself in words. it does soothe the mind and soul. or it can cause you to push you to the limits and break apart. or it can make the whole world go round. all depending on the mood ure in while listenin to the music, which also affects the mood ure in. back in the day i played a lil. not so much anymore. i still pick up my guitar and clarinet from time to time, and i do turn on the old keyboard here and there too. i can still read music. let's face it, music is all around us. it would be inevitable to live without it. even when we're locked up in a room we can still hear the beating of our heart. that itself is music.
back in the day before college i did sports. i havent been on any sports team since i was 13, but i still played for the fun of it. i could stand on my own two feet. soccer and football was what i did the most, and what i miss the most. not to say i dont still play, rarely, but i do. i'm not one to go to the gym. i dont like the gym. id rather play.
i hold a bachelor's degree from the u of i. graduated in 4 years and am planning on going back to get my master's in something...eventually i wanna teach, bilingual math and possibly chem. if i havent forgotten it all. but that's what i wanna do. that's where part of my heart lies...lays?...i wasnt an english major.
im a multi-use/purpose at my parish, have been since uuuuu, iuno when. people know me there, kinda sorta...kinda. it's my second home.
