About Me

Personality Type: ENFJ "The Sage"
ENFJs are the benevolent 'pedagogues' of humanity. They have tremendous charisma by which many are drawn into their nurturant tutelage and/or grand schemes. Many ENFJs have tremendous power to manipulate others with their phenomenal interpersonal skills and unique salesmanship. But it's usually not meant as manipulation -- ENFJs generally believe in their dreams, and see themselves as helpers and enablers, which they usually are.
ENFJs are global learners. They see the big picture. The ENFJs focus is expansive. Some can juggle an amazing number of responsibilities or projects simultaneously. Many ENFJs have tremendous entrepreneurial ability.
ENFJs are, by definition, Js, with whom we associate organization and decisiveness. But they don't resemble the SJs or even the NTJs in organization of the environment nor occasional recalcitrance. ENFJs are organized in the arena of interpersonal affairs. Their offices may or may not be cluttered, but their conclusions (reached through feelings) about people and motives are drawn much more quickly and are more resilient than those of their NFP counterparts.
Many ENFJs take their religious and community values seriously and want others to do the same. Loyalty, commitment, and responsibility are important values to ENFJs, even as children. They often settle into organizations that have a values orientation, or they will find a spot in an organization that is centered on values or people's need. ENFJs make responsible spouses, employees, and community members. Because most ENFJs enjoy public speaking and seem to have a way with words, they are often asked to present the position of the groups to which they belong.
For the ENFJ, love means flowers, poetry, candlelight dinners --- in other words, romance with a capital R. When they first fall in love, they fall in love with an ideal perspective of what the relationship will be, and they fall deeply, head over heels. ENFJs value commitment and loyalty, and look for it from their partner. They typically enjoy activities with their partners that allow them to discuss the relationship and focus on what each person truly believes. When commitments are broken, ENFJs become upset because they see the breakup as a personal reflection on them and because they have idealized the relationship. Since they are willing to put the time and effort into the relationship, they expect it will continue on as it was from the very start. Relationships have their ups and downs; the downs, however, are particularly hard on the ENFJ, who does not manage disharmony well.
ENFJs know and appreciate people. Like most NFs, (and Feelers in general), they are apt to neglect themselves and their own needs for the needs of others. They have thinner psychological boundaries than most, and are at risk for being hurt or even abused by less sensitive people. ENFJs often take on more of the burdens of others than they can bear. TRADEMARK: "The first shall be last"
Some occupations seem to be more attractive to ENFJs: actor, clergy, consultant, counselor and therapist, designer, home economist, musician, religious worker, teacher, writer, and other occupations that allow them to be of service to others.

My Interests

Shopping for Christmas in June this year? Perfect timing! You may as well get me one OF THESE!!!!! Just helping you think ahead. How kind of me.
Maybe 2007 will be better for the M's

I love you, baseball.
RANDOM FACT:A single 12-ounce can of soda provides the equivalent of 10 teaspoons of table sugar.
It costs 1.23 cents to make a penny and 5.73 cents to make a nickle. Thats just stupid. Whats the point?

I put these pics of my kit up because I am kinda proud of it. Wanna hear all about it? Well, I'm going to tell you anyway. It is an early 70's kit that originated from the Pearl factory in Japan when they made drums for everyone. It is nothing special, but I have spent a TON of time bringing it back from the dead. I bought it from a guy here in town who had stuffed it in his garage in the late 70's and never touched them again. Lots of the lugs were broken, some of the wrap had seperated from the shells, the heads were gone, none of the hardware worked (it couldn't be set up), and it had 25 years worth of dust and spider webs on it. Amazingly the shells were still in a perfect round. I have spent a lot of time on this kit and and the results have been good. It looks good, and considering that it wasn't the best of its day, I've been able to cajole a great sound out of it. I love it like a child. hahaha

I'd like to meet:

Someone who can slap some sense into me. Or someone who will give me ONE OF THESE!

Movies:

Garden State has taken over the top spot. Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind is a close second. Well, it's still a toss up I guess. American Beauty. Spinal Tap, Napoleon Dynamite, Seven, 12 Monkeys. Shawshank Redemption. A River Runs Through It. Stand By Me. Forrest Gump (you know you like it too).

Television:

On a very informative commercial that was just on tv, men were warned that if they take a certain medication, a stiffie lasting more than 6 hours could be a problem. Ya think? 5 minutes is probably abnormal for most.

Books:

Blue Like Jazz and Through Painted Deserts (Donald Miller), Wandering Time, Nobodys Son, and In Search of Snow (Luis Urrea), Most anything by Brian McClaren and Phillip Yancey. "Velvit Elvis" by Rob Bell. "A Staggering Work Of Hearbeaking Genius" by David Eggers. "1984" scared the crap out of me. Just picked up Bird By Bird, by Anne Lamott. Great book about writing. Some other new stuff to mention too, but I can't remember how to correctly spell their names, so I'll get back to you on that.

Heroes:

My Dad for doing what ever it took.
